The Vaudeville Theatre is situated on The Strand in the
West End of London. It was designed by C. J. Phipps and
first opened on April 16, 1870 with the comedy "For Love
Or Money". The
current theatre was built in 1926 and can accomodate 690
people on 3 levels.
As its name suggests, the
Vaudeville was home in its early days to revues and
vaudeville shows.
